Special Events & Projects Grant Program
The CRVA's grant program provides robust marketing and communications support to special events and/or projects that enrich the Charlotte region, adding to the culture, quality of life and character that make the area distinctive and attractive. Events supported through the grant program are key contributors in drawing visitors to our region and create the lasting economic impact that produce substantial tax savings for every resident.
CRVA Educational Foundation
The CRVA is committed to developing the talent that drives the future of Charlotte's hospitality and tourism industry, which ranks as the region's fourth largest industry. Scholarships are available to aspiring and established professionals alike for hospitality-related education and/or development.
Commitment to the Community
Uplifting Charlotte’s community is at the heart of everything the CRVA does. Every year, employee giving campaigns support organizations like United Way of Central Carolinas, Classroom Central and Levine Children’s Hospital. Employees have helped build playgrounds in our neighborhoods and they serve with a variety of community and industry organizations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina utilized the Charlotte Convention Center to distribute 3.8 million pounds of food. The CRVA culinary team has also built partnerships to help provide hearty meals for local shelters. Tens of thousands of pounds of food have been processed and distributed through this initiative.
NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation
The NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission includes providing economically challenged students (pre-K through 12th grade) access to learning opportunities that harness our sport’s longstanding tradition of winning through innovation. The Foundation works to ensure those students have a competitive edge that best equips them for life and drives their future success.
Conventions With A Cause
Beyond their economic impact, many meetings and conventions advance worthy causes in the region through in-kind donations, charitable giving and volunteer service projects. The Visit Charlotte team is proud to partner with Giving Good, a comprehensive online resource for event organizers to find, vet and book community impact projects with ease. Groups may choose from a variety of pre-selected organizations that are designed to offer event attendees a rewarding and unique experience that will leave a lasting impact on the Charlotte community.
The CRVA is proud to collaborate with several organizations committed to serving the community, its residents and making the Charlotte region a vibrant destination to live, work, play and visit.
