The CRVA’s work reaches across Charlotte’s visitor economy. We market and sell the destination, advocate for the industry, develop opportunities that drive visitation and manage some of the city’s most important public venues and visitor assets.
Our portfolio includes the Charlotte Convention Center, Bojangles Entertainment Complex, NASCAR Hall of Fame and back-of-house operations at Spectrum Center. Through Visit Charlotte, we lead destination sales and marketing and support the Charlotte Regional Film Commission and Visitor Info Centers.
Together, this work helps Charlotte compete for visitors, conventions, events and investment while creating experiences and economic impact that benefit our community.
The CRVA is guided by a five-year strategic plan built upon the foundational Core Values of the organization. The plan reflects collective priorities in areas related to customers, financial objectives, business and employee management and culture.
The CRVA’s strategy has long been rooted in data-driven analysis. Because of this, the organization relies heavily on the research of industry thought leaders, insightful forecasting and timely reporting.
The CRVA builds demand for Charlotte and champions the value of the visitor economy. Through strategic marketing, sales, advocacy, destination development and partnerships, we strengthen Charlotte’s position as a destination of choice for leisure travel, meetings, conventions and events. The result is more visitation, greater economic impact and a stronger Charlotte region.
