The hospitality industry influences so much of how we live, work and play in the Charlotte region. Gain a greater understanding of the visitor economy, activities of the CRVA and the strategic events that enrich our community.
Tourism is an economic engine for the Charlotte region. When visitors come for a convention, sporting event, concert, business trip or weekend getaway, their spending reaches hotels, restaurants, shops, attractions, transportation providers and businesses throughout our community.
That activity supports jobs, generates tax revenue and creates opportunities for local businesses while strengthening Charlotte’s ability to compete for future visitors, events and investment. Through destination stewardship, promotion and advocacy, the CRVA works to grow the visitor economy and ensure its impact reaches well beyond the visitor experience.
A strong visitor economy means a stronger Charlotte, creating economic opportunity and helping build a vibrant community for the people who live and work here.
